Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2023

10. Cameron Nelson, OF, Pro 5 Academy Virginia

The 5-foot-11, 180–pound Nelson is ranked as the No. 6 player in the Class of 2023 in Virginia by Pro Baseball Report and the No. 5 player in Maryland by Perfect Game.

Though he also pitches, Nelson’s best work comes as a middle infielder where he excels both on defense and in the batter’s box. As one of the top recruits in a baseball factory, it comes as no surprise that Nelson is making the jump to the Division I level, joining the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. If Nelson can continue his strong game with Pro 5 Academy, expect big things for him in the future.
