Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2023
7. Brett Renfrow, OF, Colgan
At 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Renfrow has the size of a prototypical outfielder and is ranked as the No. 16 player in the Commonwealth by Perfect Game and the No. 5 player by PBR.
As a top pitcher and outfielder for the Colgan Sharks, Renfrow earned Virginia High School League Class 6A first-team all-state honors as an outfielder and second-team all-state as a pitcher. While he could excel at both positions at the next level, Renfrow is projected to be an outfielder at the next level.
Speaking of the next level, Renfrow is signed to play with in-state Virginia Tech. Before heading to the Hokies, Renfrow will look to win a state title with the Sharks after falling just short of that goal last season with a one-run extra–inning loss in the state semifinals.
I’m excited to announce my commitment to Virginia Tech to further my academic and baseball career. Thank you to my family, coaches and teammates who helped me along the way.#GoHokies @CompleteGameVA @PBRVirginiaDC @STARSBASEBALLVA @athletesaddict @USABaseballNTIS pic.twitter.com/rSHBlZHFr3
