Vikings releasing Adam Thielen; Top 5 landing spots for WR
MINNEAPOLIS (BVM) – Over the past several seasons, it’d be tough to find a wide receiver around the NFL as dependable as Adam Thielen has been during his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings. After nine seasons with the organization, that time officially came to an end shortly before the opening of the NFL’s free agency period.

Thielen helped orchestrate one of the winningest periods in team history, with a near Super Bowl appearance coming in 2017. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout had one of his most impressive seasons that year, and has followed that up by being one of the organization’s most productive offensive players over the past few seasons.
The 32-year-old was released following a move to clear cap space after the Pro Bowl wide receiver had a $19.97 million cap hit for 2023. With many labeling the free agency wide receiver class as “weak,” Thielen should have a number of suitors in the coming weeks.
The now free agent wideout posted 716 yards and six touchdowns in 2022, playing a more secondary role to teammate Justin Jefferson. With a chance to join in on a similar situation elsewhere, here’s a look at five landing spots for the recently released Vikings wide receiver.
