A couple of blue bloods are also in the region in Kentucky and Duke, both of which will have tough opening-round matchups with the Wildcats taking on a scrappy Providence team, and the Blue Devils facing an Oral Roberts squad that became the Cinderella team of the tournament just two years ago.
Also in the mix in the East Region are some talented teams like Kansas State, Tennessee, Michigan State and Memphis, each of which are capable of making runs over the next couple of weeks. Here’s a look at what to expect in each opening round matchup in the East Region as well as who fans can expect to see in the Final Four in Houston.
