Most men’s basketball March Madness bids without NCAA title
29 – St. John’s
While the Red Storm did have a dominant run from the late 1970s to the early 2000s, they are still without a national title.
Unfortunately for St. John’s, it has fallen on hard times recently, not making the field since 2019 and haven’t won a tournament game since 2000. The program’s best chance at a title came all the way back in 1952 when it lost to the Kansas Jayhawks, 80-63. With the recent firing of head coach Mike Anderson, it appears the team is still a couple of years away from a tournament appearance.
