7. Ethan Van Sice, P, Gonzaga
A top D.C. pitcher, Van Sice helped lead Gonzaga to a DCSAA state championship. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound right-hander is ranked as the No. 52 overall prospect in Virginia by Perfect Game and the No. 51 prospect in Virginia-DC by PBR.
Last season, Van Sice led the Eagles to a 19-12 record en route to the state title and a WCAC title as well. The pitcher signed to play collegiately with Cornell University in February. Following their championship glory a year ago, Van Sice will aim to help the team repeat as champions this spring.
Ethan Van Sice (‘23 VA) looking strong thru 2, living mostly upper-80s, T91 in 1st. Great feel to tight spin SL (clip) at 76-77 & a low-70s CB. Also went way deep to LCF in 1st AB. #Cornell commit #WWBA @PG_VirginiaWV pic.twitter.com/1lhrGBmDN2
