Top 10 Washington D.C. HS baseball players in Class of 2023
8. Jacob Gerson, P, Jackson-Reed
Gerson is another versatile two-way player, but he projects to be on the mound at the next level. The 6-foot, 185-pound right-hander is ranked as the No. 126 player in Virginia-DC by PBR and the No. 6 player in D.C. by Perfect Game.
A year ago, Gerson was a standout for the Jackson-Reed Tigers. He made eight appearances on the mound where he recorded a 6.22 ERA, a 0.250 opponent batting average, 14 walks and nine strikeouts in nine innings.
Like Francis, Gerson has not yet made a college decision. Instead, he will focus on helping his Tigers win a District of Columbia State Athletic Association state championship after making the championship game a year ago.
