Top 10 NFL players who played in NCAA Tournament games
10. Terrell Owens, Chattanooga
Before torching NFL secondaries, Owens was a star football player for the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga where he also played for the Mocs basketball team. While stats from his time on the team are scarce, Owens did actually help the team make the 1995 NCAA Tournament.
During the team’s lone game of the tournament, Owens recorded one defensive rebound and a block in one minute of play during the team’s 100-71 first-round loss to UConn. While he didn’t leave a lasting impression on Chattanooga basketball fans, Owens would go on to have a Hall of Fame NFL career.
