Ranking the top 10 LSU baseball players of all time
9. D.J. LeMahieu, INF (2008-09)
As a sophomore, D.J. led LSU in hitting with a .350 average. And he was voted to the 2009 College World Series all-tournament team. LeMahieu hit .444 in six postseason games that year.
The Chicago Cubs took him in the second round of that year’s MLB Draft. In 2016, he captured the National League batting crown as a member of the Colorado Rockies. Now he plays for the New York Yankees.
