Top 10 Indiana high school baseball players in Class of 2023

9. Brett Denby, SS, Jeffersonville

Between his bat, defense and performance on the mound, Denby has continued to prove why he is one of the best, and perhaps most versatile players in Indiana’s Class of 2023. As a sophomore at Jeffersonville High School, Denby hit .341 while stealing 14 bases, and had a 2-1 record on the mound with a 3.31 ERA. His numbers at the plate last year were quite similar, batting .351 with 13 steals, while he improved as a pitcher, going 3-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 29 strikeouts. Denby has also been strong while playing summer baseball with the Cincinnati Spikes, and with Team Georgia National last summer. The 6-foot, 180-pound shortstop will remain in the Peach State for college when he joins the Georgia Bulldogs.
