Ranking the top 10 New Jersey Devils players of all time
NEWARK, N.J. (BVM) — The NHL announced that two expansion franchises would join the league in 1972, including the Kansas City Scouts. Unfortunately, they only lasted two seasons and were moved to Colorado and named the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies never won more than 22 games, and they were eventually sold to New Jersey native John McMullen in 1982.
McMullen, who owned the Houston Astros at the time, moved the team to New Jersey, where it was renamed the Devils. They called the Garden State home for four decades, and some of hockey’s most legendary players have sported the red, black and white.
These are the 10 best in franchise history.
