The Musketeers made an impressive run to the Sweet 16 and are primed to be competitive once again in 2024. However, there are some players that will have to make a decision about if they will return to Xavier next season. Jack Nunge and Jerome Hunter were vital for the Musketeers in the frontcourt at the end of the season. Hunter took over for Zach Freemantle following season-ending foot surgery, while Nunge was one of the cornerstones of the team. Both players could be gone and Freemantle has now injured the same foot twice in the last two years. Head coach Sean Miller’s style of play has allowed his forwards to thrive and Samuel would thrive with the Musketeers. He would also be great for a locker room that might need to replace veteran leadership.
