Baker may be eyeing a return back to his home state of Texas and proximity to his birthplace of Austin, Texas clearly means something to him, evidenced by his initial commitment to the Longhorns. If that’s the case, Texas Tech should certainly be on Baker’s radar, especially after the Red Raiders hired former North Texas coach Grant McCasland as its new head coach on March 31. The transfer of Texas Tech’s 6-foot-11 center Fardaws Aimaq – who has a similar skillset to Baker – could open the door even further for a return to the Lone Star State.
