Despite a Sweet 16 appearance during the 2022-23 campaign, Tennessee struggled offensively for most of the season and finished ninth in the SEC in points per game (70.8). Baker’s offensive-minded game would be a welcomed sight for Volunteer fans and the transfer of stretch big man Olivier Nkamhoua could be the catalyst for a jump from the Mountain West to the SEC. Nkamhoua averaged 10.8 points on 51.3% shooting for Tennessee last season but Baker brings more efficiency from the 3-point line while offering the same level of versatility and rim protection. Rick Barnes would be wise to pursue Baker.
