Patriots mock draft 2023: Pick-by-pick predictions

No. 135, Round 4: Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss

Typically the Patriots have a plethora of NFL-quality running backs, but that is not the case at the moment. Rhamondre Stevenson is probably the only dependable player in the position group as it is hard to have high expectations for James Robinson or Pierre Strong Jr. This is a good opportunity to take a chance on the uber-talented Evans. A five-star recruit who nearly ran for 5,000 yards in high school, Evans finished 10th in the FBS with 6.5 yards per carry last season.
