Ranking the top 10 Philadelphia Phillies of all time
4. Ed Delahanty
One stat of Delahanty’s stands out in particular — he was the first player in modern Major League lore to hit better than .400 three times. He was the main cog in a talented Phillies lineup from 1892-1901, bringing home a pair of home run titles over that decade-long stretch. Oh, and he wasn’t too bad in the outfield, either.
On 7/13/1896, #Phillies LF Ed Delahanty became the 2nd #MLB player to have a 4 HR game. Two of the four were inside-the-park home runs. pic.twitter.com/Ce4PhkRw70
