5 standouts from the Tennessee Volunteers’ spring game

4. Ethan Davis, TE

The No. 142 player from the incoming 2023 class, Davis lists at 6-foot-5, 228-pounds and played to his size during some of the offense’s early big plays. While many looked at the freshman tight end as an option for quarterback Nico Iamaleava in the next few seasons, Davis proved that he could be more than ready to produce right away at the college level. With three catches for 53 yards, and a nice 30-yard snag down the sideline, the freshman tight end showcased that he may be the best receiver at the position already. A shoulder injury late in the game is the only thing that may temper expectations.
