5. Sage Hoover, RHP, Texas Tech
Hoover leads Big-12 freshmen in innings pitched (93.1), wins (14) and strikeouts (97). Among all conference leaders, Hoover has the fourth-most wins. She brings a lot of experience to the Red Raiders, who are just 4-11 in conference play and 30-19 on the season. Hoover is a freshman in the Big 12, but she spent her true freshman year at Northwestern State University in Louisiana. There, she earned the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year and was a first-team All-Southland selection.
