Jewel Spear enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots
Tennessee
The Lady Vols are returning their starting frontcourt of Rickea Jackson and Tamari Key but lost star guard Jordan Horston to the WNBA draft. Horston was the second–leading scorer on the team behind Jackson and led the Lady Vols in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Tennessee still has a strong core of veteran players to build around but adding a talented scorer like Spear couldn’t hurt. Spear would make up for 15.6 points per game Horston contributed and be another three–point shooter to pair with forward Tess Darby who shot 40.9% from three this past season. The Lady Vols have no incoming freshman meaning this team is made up of transfers and returning players. Having someone like Spear who has two years of eligibility left could help with continuity moving forward.
