Top 10 all-time Game 7 winning performances in NBA history

Here are the top 10 Game 7 winning performances in NBA history.

T-10. Jamal Murray, 2020 Western Conference semifinals, 40 points vs. the Los Angeles Clippers

In the bubble, Murray and the Denver Nuggets made an improbable run to the Western Conference Finals. Against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference semifinals, the Nuggets were able to overcome multiple double-digit deficits, including in Game 7. Murray scored 40 points on 57.7% shooting from the field and 46.2% shooting from behind the arc to give Denver the Game 7 win and finish the Nuggets comeback from being down 3-1 in the series. The Clippers had entered the playoffs as a title contender but the red-hot Murray put an end to those dreams.

T-10. Giannis Antetokounmpo, 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals, 40 points vs. the Brooklyn Nets

Down 3-2 in the series heading into Game 6, Milwaukee had to win the last two games to keep its playoff hopes alive. The Bucks took care of business at home in Game 6 and then on the road in Brooklyn, were able to pull off the 115-111 Game 7 win in overtime. Durant had, at the time, an NBA-record 48 points in Game 7 but Antetokounmpo’s 40 points were enough to get Milwaukee to the Eastern Conference Finals. Antetokounmpo went 13-of-24 and 2-of-6 from the three-point line to go along with 13 rebounds as the Bucks took down the Brooklyn Nets who were favorites to come out of the East that season. Milwaukee went on to win the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns, the team’s first championship in 50 years.
