Top 10 all-time Game 7 winning performances in NBA history
9. Paul Pierce, 2008 Eastern Conference semifinals, 41 points vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers
Pierce went toe-to-toe with LeBron James in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals and won. His 41 points were enough to offset James’ 45 points and lead Boston to a 97-92 victory over the Cavaliers. It was the second–best playoff performance of his career and set Boston up for a matchup against the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals. Pierce went 13-of-23 from the field, then hit two free throws to put the Celtics up 97-92 with 7.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The Celtics would go on to win the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.
