Unable to close out the series in Game 6 at Madison Square Garden, the reigning NBA champions returned to Chicago for Game 7 against the New York Knicks. Jordan went 15-of-29 from the field and scored 42 points to lead the Bulls to a 110-81 victory over the Knicks. It was Jordan’s best game of the series and the best Game 7 performance of his career. Chicago went on to beat Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games and win its second-straight NBA title after beating the Portland Trailblazers in the NBA Finals.
