7. JJ Starling, Syracuse

One of the top-ranked players from the Class of 2022, Starling provided a major spark for the Irish in his lone year with the Notre Dame program. While a disappointing season for the Irish ended much of the freshman’s opening buzz, a chance to land on with Syracuse could be just what a new head coach needs to jumpstart the program. Starling found himself in a difficult spot with head coach Mike Brey stepping away and could be the focal point of new Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry’s plans. Starling averaged 11.2 points in his first collegiate season and will slot in as one of the team’s starting guards.
