College basketball’s 10 most impactful transfer portal moves
6. Jesse Edwards, West Virginia
Syracuse is in the midst of a major reshuffling following the move of long-time head coach Jim Boeheim to a role as a special assistant to the athletic director. With the change came the move from one of the team’s most talented players. Edwards was a mainstay as a rim protector over the past two seasons helping what had been an underwhelming Orange run. Edwards’ ability on both ends of the floor gives West Virginia a bump, with Tre Mitchell now sliding into more of a forward role next to the nearly 7-footer. The talented frontcourt should give the Mountaineers’ Big 12 foes some serious problems.
