Yates, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard, has an NIL valuation of $75,000 which ranks 96th among high school basketball players around the country. The cousin of former Washington star Quincy Pondexter, Yates chose the Huskies over offers from Auburn, LSU, Texas and others.

A total of 40,000 followers across his social media accounts have helped Yates gain one of the state’s top NIL valuations. The Beaumont United star put up 20.1 points per game last season for the 36-2 Timberwolves and averaged 16.2 points on the 2022 Nike EYBL circuit.
