DENVER (BVM) – Nikola Jokic was passed on 40 times during the 2014 NBA Draft. So, what happened to all the players drafted before him and where are they now?
Jokic’s draft night was mediocre: he slept through the night and was ultimately drafted into the NBA by the Denver Nuggets during a Taco Bell commercial.
Now, Jokic is a two-time MVP who just led the Nuggets to their first-ever NBA Finals. As the No. 41 overall pick, he’s widely considered to be one of the biggest steals in NBA draft history.
