Texas’ top 10 highest-drafted NBA players of all time
1. Larry Johnson, No. 1
The headliner of the 1991 NBA Draft, Johnson was fresh off a national collegiate career at UNLV that saw the Runnin’ Rebels capture their lone NCAA championship. The first overall pick from that year would go on to become a two-time All-Star with the Charlotte Hornets before a five-year run with the New York Knicks. The 1991-92 Rookie of the Year enjoyed a 10-year NBA career that ended following the 2001 season. In 2019, Johnson was elected into the College Basketball Hall of Fame.
