Texas’ top 10 highest-drafted NBA players of all time
4. LaMarcus Aldridge, No. 2
A star at the University of Texas, Aldridge starred in his home state school of Texas after originally entering his name in the 2004 NBA Draft straight out of high school. The 6-foot-11 forward would go on to play two seasons with the Longhorns before making the decision in 2006 to head to the NBA. Aldridge was selected second overall by the Chicago Bulls before heading in a draft day trade to the Portland Trail Blazers. The move would begin a nine-year stint with the team, where he would eventually land four of his seven All-Star game appearances.
