Christian Braun could join elite group of NCAA, NBA champions
DENVER (BVM) – Denver Nuggets rookie Christian Braun scored his first points of the NBA Finals on Sunday in Denver when he went 3-for-3 from the field with six points, three steals, three assists and a rebound in 15 minutes. While Braun hasn’t been used much by the Nuggets throughout the season, averaging 4.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 15.5 minutes, the rookie guard could make NBA history if his Denver squad can win a title.
With a Nuggets NBA Finals victory, Braun would become just the fifth player to ever win an NBA title and an NCAA title in back-to-back years after he helped lead the Kansas Jayhawks to a championship in 2022. If Braun completes the feat, he would join a handful of memorable players including NBA legends as well as some college basketball standouts. Here are the four players to have won an NCAA title and an NBA championship in back-to-back seasons.
