Taryn Kern enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for star

One team that may want some revenge on the Sooners is California. The Golden Bears had a successful season this spring, making it to the Norman regional final where they were eliminated by Oklahoma. With a 35-21-1 record and receiving a vote in the final top 25 poll, Cal could certainly be considered a team on the rise next season.
California also has an ace in the hole in the fact that the team is located in Kern’s home state and that it has her high school running mate on the team as well. Golden Bears freshman infielder Elon Butler played 54 games with 50 starts this season after playing for the Monarchs alongside Kern. If Cal can add the slugger, perhaps it could avenge its loss to Oklahoma this season.
