Top 10 all-time leading passers in Kentucky HS football
10. Kaelin Ammons, Franklin County (2003-06)
Ammons was a standout for the Flyers in the early 2000s and is one of just 11 quarterbacks in KHSAA to throw for over 10,000 yards. Ammons finished his three-year career at Franklin County with 10,058 passing yards and 109 touchdown passes. Despite his gaudy numbers, Ammons wasn’t heavily recruited by big programs and instead took his talents to NAIA Georgetown College.
After initially playing wide receiver for the Tigers over his first three seasons, Ammons was given the opportunity to be the signal-caller once again and made the most of it. As a senior in 2011, Ammons threw for 2,865 yards, 34 touchdowns and eight interceptions on his way to NAIA All-American honorable mention.
