Top 10 all-time leading passers in Kentucky HS football

9. Tanner Morgan, Hazard/Ryle (2013-16)

Morgan excelled with not only one but two Kentucky high school programs. During his freshman and sophomore years at Hazard, Morgan threw for 4,990 yards and 56 touchdowns before he threw for 5,313 yards and 48 more scores at Ryle as a junior and senior to give him 10,303 career yards and 104 touchdowns in his KHSAA career. A three-star recruit, Morgan committed to the University of Minnesota as part of the Class of 2017.

At Minnesota, Morgan rewrote the record books as he became the winningest starting QB in program history with a 33-14 record over five years as a starter throwing for 9,454 passing yards and 65 passing touchdowns, the second-most in program history. He signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in April after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft and will look to make the roster this season.
