Kyle Kuzma declines player option; Top 5 landing spots
5. Philadelphia 76ers
After losing in the Eastern Conference semifinals for the third consecutive year, the Philadelphia 76ers could not only lose James Harden this offseason, but veteran forward Tobias Harris. That’s a combined 35.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 13.2 assists per game of regular-season production potentially on the way out the door. With 2022-23 NBA MVP Joel Embiid still in his prime and 22-year-old Tyrese Maxey ascending, Kuzma is the kind of wing complement 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey should target to keep Philadelphia in contender status. It would also be a bit of a reunion for Kuzma who played his senior season of high school basketball at Rise Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
