WVU’s Tre Mitchell transferring; 5 possible landing spots

The Hawkeyes were a finalist for Mitchell following his transfer decision from the University of Texas last year. With Kris Murray now set to hit the NBA, Iowa will be in need of a player that fits the same mold as Mitchell, as both a rebounder and a scorer at one of the forward positions. The team is set to deploy a mix of Ben Krikke, who recently transferred to the program, and Payton Sandfort this upcoming season as it works in a trio of freshman forwards. Mitchell could give the Hawkeyes the one-year fill-in they are looking for this upcoming year with a host of younger options needing to gain experience.
