5.  Joe Aden, Dongola (1955-58)

Aden still ranks among the state’s very best 65 years later. As a senior Aden averaged 36.9 points and totaled 56 in a game that year. He was named a High School All-American. Aden recorded a remarkable 3,033 points at Dongola. Then he would make his name at Union University from 1958 to 1962. Aden earned Volunteer State Athletic Conference (VSAC) MVP honors after the 1962 season.
