Trio from women’s rugby earn NIRA All-Academic honors SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – A trio from the American International College women’s rugby team earned 2022-23 All-Academic honors from the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association, the organization announced on Friday, June 30. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, and carry a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale. AIC’s three recipients of the award were Annekkia Ritter-Truxal, Zahira Roldan, and Alexis Ropelewski. All three were key members of the squad throughout 2022-23 in both 15s and 7s competition.
