Top 5 2023 NBA Summer League debuts
LAS VEGAS (BVM) – The NBA Summer League finished its first weekend in Las Vegas and every team has played at least one game. There has been plenty of intrigue around summer league thanks to No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama, who has now played in two games for the San Antonio Spurs. Wembanyama struggled in his first game but then had 27 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in his second game against the Portland Trail Blazers, reassuring everyone that he can live up to the insane hype that has been attached to him for about two years.
The 7-foot-5 center is clearly the biggest storyline from the summer league so far but there are plenty of other rookies that are showing a lot of promise. It doesn’t always translate to the NBA but the way these young players are performing is giving a lot of fan bases hope for the future.
