Team Canada’s 10 greatest hockey players of all time
8. Bobby Orr, D (1976)
Orr had a short international career, but he made it count. The Hall of Famer put his stamp on the 1976 Canada Cup. He earned MVP of that event. It was the single world-level tournament that Orr would be part of. Three years later, he hung up his skates at the age of 30.
The 1976 Canada Cup was Bobby Orr's swan song. He only played 26 games after the tournament and none with Boston. But despite playing on one leg, he was named tournament MVP. He missed '72 because of his knee. There was no way he was missing '76.pic.twitter.com/zaD46aG1xW
