8. Jeremiah Newcombe, CB, Casteel

Like Lockhart, Newcombe has been making plays in the secondary since he was a freshman. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback has accounted for 155 total tackles, 13 interceptions (including seven as a sophomore) and 33 pass breakups over the last three seasons. Newcombe’s father, Bobby, was a sixth-round pick in the 2001 NFL Draft after playing quarterback at Nebraska from 1997-2000. The Cornhuskers and many other Power 5 programs offered the four-star corner but he committed to Oklahoma in March.
