No. 7 – James Aldridge

Aldridge’s 247Sports Composite rating of 0.9873 makes him the seventh highest-rated Notre Dame recruit of the 2000s. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound running back graduated in the Class of 2006 from Crown Point High School (Indiana).  

Aldridge’s overall hype didn’t live up to the expectations at Notre Dame. He totaled just 979 yards rushing and three touchdowns in four seasons.  

The recruiting bust turned to playing rugby and coaching high school sports after his failed college football career.
