Obidegwu, standing at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, committed to the University of Oregon on May 7, two weeks before his teammate, Michael Van Buren did the same. Obidegwu is a four-star cornerback and No.3 in the state, playing his last prep season with St. Frances Academy, Maryland’s best prep football program according to MaxPreps.
