Every Pac-12 football program’s best season of all time
Colorado: 1990
There are multiple Colorado squads that could make their case as the best in program history during the Bill McCartney era, but the 1990 team that was the AP poll national champion still stands at the top. Despite the Buffaloes beginning the year just 1-1-1, Colorado rallied behind standout seasons from eventual first-round NFL draft pick Mike Pritchard at wide receiver, and Eric Bieniemy at running back who rushed for over 1,600 yards. The defense also boasted a strong unit led by Butkus Award-winning linebacker Alfred Williams. The Buffaloes would go on to rattle off 10 wins in a row, culminating with a 10-9 victory over Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl.
