Women’s Volleyball Drops Opener in Four Sets to No. 7 Calvin

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women’s volleyball team began the 2023 season with a four-set loss to seventh-ranked Calvin University Friday, Sept. 1. After dropping the first set, the Titans battled back to take the second before falling in a tightly contested third to the Knights as CU topped IWU, 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 26-24, 25-19) on day one of the Transy Fall Invite. Sophomore Taylor French (Romeoville, Ill.-Plainfield East) paced the Titans with a team-best 15 kills.
