The Mets have been the butt of many jokes in recent years, but at least they have this to hang their hat on. Gary Carter, Al Leiter, Carlos Delgado and Curtis Granderson have all won this award while playing in Queens with Granderson being the franchise’s most recent winner in 2016. Francisco Lindor will represent New York as its nominee this season.
