6. O’Brien Schofield, DE, 2006-09

Schofield left a lasting impression in his 39 games in the red and white uniform. A steady improvement led to his memorable senior season in which he finished second in the nation in tackles for loss with 24.5 and seventh in sacks with 12. 

He earned a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and media and was selected as a midseason semifinalist for the Bednarik Award, given to the best defensive player in all of college football. Schofield was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
