7. Troy Vincent, CB, 1989-92

Vincent’s Wisconsin career started slow, but he always found a way to make an impact. In his first season, Vincent led the Big Ten in average punt return yardage before making the leap in his second year where he earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 1990.

By 1991, Vincent was recognized as one of the best defenders in the country, finishing second in voting for the Jim Thorpe Award given to the nation’s top defensive back. He added first-team All-American honors and Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Vincent was selected seventh overall in the 1992 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins.
