7. Drake Maye
Maye is viewed as the consensus No. 2 QB in the 2024 draft class and he has the potential to be a long-term answer at the position for an NFL franchise. The sophomore redshirt took over for the Tar Heels after Sam Howell’s departure and turned out to be a better option than his predecessor. Maye took home ACC Player of the Year in 2022 and placed 10th in the Heisman voting.
It is a very talented quarterback draft class in 2024, but it feels like Maye has already cemented himself near the very top. He will be 28 years old in 2030 and he could highlight a historic QB draft.
