Top 10 athletes turning Instagram followers into NIL money
BATON ROUGE, La. (BVM) – The most followed college athletes on social media are cashing in big time thanks to NIL (name, image and likeness).
NCAA athletes can turn their followers into fortunes by booking brand partnerships and uploading sponsored posts to their Instagram accounts. One single click on social media can bring in six figures.
Here are the 10 college athletes who have the highest earning potential on Instagram.
Methodology: To determine who makes this “Instagram rich list,” – it was first determined who the top 10 most followed college athletes on Instagram are. This was accomplished through On3’s NIL database. Then, influencer marketing agency, In Beat, was utilized to estimate earnings per Instagram post. In Beat analyzes both social following and engagement rates to evaluate the potential cost for different types of collaborations.
Note that the “estimated earnings per Instagram post” can be calculated in many ways, but at the end of the day, it is the athlete who sets the price. For example, Olivia Dunne negotiated upwards of $500,000 for a single social media post. Hailey Van Lith is another example; Adidas is her biggest NIL deal and it’s likely that the global corporation is paying her a lot more than her average fee for a brand post.
