Top 10 Washington boys basketball players in Class of 2024
5. Cade Orness, G, North Kitsap
Orness has been a star at North Kitsap playing for his father, Scott Orness, and alongside another talented guard in Washington’s senior class: Harry Davies. With both Cade and Davies returning, the Vikings are expected to be a state championship favorite in Class 2A after falling just short of a title the past couple of years. Averaging around 15 points as a sophomore, Cade again proved his scoring prowess and passing ability in his junior season. It was on full display in North Kitsap’s triple-overtime loss to Tumwater at last year’s state tournament in which the 6-foot-5 guard had 30 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. More stat lines like that can be expected during Cade’s senior season with the Vikings in 2023-24.
