Grayson McCall transferring; 5 landing spots for graduate QB

Duke

A native of Indian Trail, North Carolina, McCall may want to play somewhere a bit closer to home for his final year of college football. Duke would not only provide that, but a top-flight education as well which has to be appealing. The Blue Devils could also use the help after losing quarterback Riley Leonard to the transfer portal.

However, Duke does have its fair share of difficulties. After a tremendous 7-5 season, Blue Devils head coach Mike Elko was hired away by Texas A&M and his replacement has not yet been named. Duke also has a rather solid quarterback option in true freshman Grayson Loftis, who played well in place of an injured Leonard. However, if the team wants to capitalize on its stellar 2023 season, McCall could provide a boost the new coaching staff would need, but will the uncertainty at the head coach spot give the signal caller cold feet?
